Celebrating 40 years of ¨Francophonie¨

It is estimated that 200 million people on five continents speak French. More than just a language, it is often argued that French speakers share common values. These gave birth to the International Organization,"La Francophonie", the “French Commonwealth,” which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2010.

Glasgow International Festival of Live Art

Every year in February, Glasgow becomes the European capital of contemporary performing arts and stages New Territories. Look out for challenging program presented by artists from across Europe. Among them is the French Compagnie Catherine Diverrès. In a double bill on March 4th, they will dance San and Stance 11.

Clarkston Children’s Classes

We are hoping to re-open our children’s French class, which ran last year in Clarkston Hall on Thursday afternoons. The class would be for children aged 6 to 10 years old, with the possibility of splitting it into two groups according to age, if enough children enrol.
