West End Festival: Bilingual Wine Tasting

To celebrate the arrival of summer, and as part of the West End Festival, the Alliance Française Glasgow is teaming up once again with Oddbins Hyndland to host a special wine tasting, this time focusing on refreshing rosés!

Café scientifique - Glasgow Science Festival

Pourquoi le démon de Darwin n’existe-t-il pas?

The French-speaking Café Scientifique returns to the Glasgow Science Festival. Dr Nicolas Labrosse and Dr Karine Salin from the University of Glasgow will discuss the expanding field of ’ecophysiology’, which integrates molecular biology with the study of whole organisms.

Screening: Dans la cour (2014) at the CCA

Within the scope of the Franco-German film series, discover Dans la cour, a typical French comedy-drama starring Catherine Deneuve.

Café littéraire : Tout bouge autour de moi , Dany Lafferière

Le 12 janvier 2010, Dany Laferrière se trouvait à Port-au-Prince. Un an après, il témoigne de ce qu’il a vu. Sans pathos, sans lyrisme. Des "choses vues" qui disent l’horreur, mais aussi le sang-froid des Haïtiens. Que reste-t-il quand tout tombe ? La culture. Et l’énergie d’une forêt de gens remarquables.

Christine Bovill’s new show "Paris" at the AF

To celebrate La fête de la musique (International Music Day) and the start of summer, the Alliance Française Glasgow is delighted to welcome you to a cheese & wine evening followed by a special performance by acclaimed chanteuse Christine Bovill.

Photo exhibition "Objectif sport!"& Educational Workshops for Primary School pupils

Participants who entered the competition found their own way to depict what sport means in their country. We are delighted to present this special exhibition.

We will also be running special educational workshops in French in conjunction with the theme of sport for Primary School pupils and their teachers who visit the exhibition.
