European Day of Languages - Friday 29th September

The Alliance Francaise Glasgow, in collaboration with the European Commission in Scotland, the Goethe Institut, the Consulate general of Poland, the Russian Scotland Forum and the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), invite you to celebrate the diversity of European languages on Friday 29th September.

Join us for a journey of discovery through some of the languages spoken in Europe!


2-2.15pm: Welcome speech by the European Commission
2.15-2.30pm: Registration for taster sessions
2.30-3.15pm: 1st session
3.15-3.30pm: Break
3.30-4.15pm: 2nd session
4.30-5.45pm: Quiz, music, refreshments and live-drawing performance by Chelsea Frew
5.45pm: Prize ceremony

You will be able to attend taster sessions for the following languages: Danish / French / Gaelic / German / Polish / Russian / Turkish.

Enjoy live music throughout event with Finlay Allison & Alan Shute from the Glasgow Folk Music Workshop!
