On 18th & 19th September, Category 5 Hurricane Maria struck the island of Dominica in the Caribbean Sea. The storm destroyed properties, silenced communications and cut power and running water. It has killed seven people and set the country back by millions, two years to the month when Hurricane Erica had also battered the island of 72,000.
Roseau, Dominica’s capital, has been devastated and its Alliance Française has suffered important damage.
The Alliance Française in Roseau urgently needs our help:
- to replace the damaged furnitures and materials
- to try and be able to run the everyday tasks of the AF Roseau as smoothly as possible over the coming months
We are joining forces with La Fondation Alliance Française and the other Alliances Françaises around the world to help the AF Roseau.
We invite you to leave your donations at the Language Office. All donations will then be transferred to the Fondation Alliance Française. Thank you for your help.
