The Alliance Française will host a very special Café Littéraire on Wednesday, November 5th at 6pm.
Come along to the Alliance Française for the chance to meet the talented Franco-Swiss author Elisabeth Horem, who will discuss her collection of short stories Mauvaises Rencontres. Discover what makes up the world of a writer who has travelled the world with her diplomat husband. There are thirteen short stories in Mauvaises Rencontres. These are in turn sombre, cruel, and funny, and its characters experience disconcerting situations that can be absurd or dangerous. Horem’s style of writing has been compared to that of Edgar Allan Poe: like him, she takes her readers by the hand into a world of her own. Mauvaises Rencontres can be borrowed from the Alliance Française multimedia library.
