The next Franco-Scottish Business Club event in Glasgow will take place on 23 April from 6.30pm. The Club will welcome Nicholas Oddy, a senior lecturer in Historical & Critical Studies at Glasgow School of Art who also acts as consultant for collectors’ Items and cycles and cycling memorabilia for Bonhams Auction Rooms. “Tut” is a colloquial term for old objects that are often termed ‘collectors’ items’ by auction rooms. Using the examples of old toys and veteran cycles (both popularly collected in France and Britain) this talk discusses the nature of the market. The event will conclude with a wine tasting. The event is open to all. £10 for members of Franco-Scottish business Club £15 for non-members Fill in this form to book.
