A fantastic new home for Scottish Ballet, an exciting new season.

After 31 years in the West End, Scottish Ballet moved to its new home at the Tramway, early July. To celebrate 40 years of existence, the company has put together an exciting programme. As part of a full UK tour, which will take the dancers from London to Aberdeen, the Scottish Ballet will perform at Glasgow’s Theatre Royal from Oct. 8 to 10. For the occasion, artistic Director Ashley Page proposes a triple bill including Rubies (choreography by George Balanchine, music by Igor Stravinsky), WorkWithinWork (choreography by William Forsythe, music by Luciano Berio, design by Yannis Thavoris), and In Light and Shadow (choreography by Krzysztof Pastor, music Johann Sebastian Bach, design by Tatyana Van Walsum). Later on in the season (Dec. 12 to 31, Theatre Royal) the Scottish Ballet will perform The Nutcracker.

The Scottish Ballet welcomes several talented French dancers. We hope you can show your support and attend one of their many exquisite performances.

Episode 6 of the Alliance Française de Glasgow podcast (out early Aug.) was recorded entirely from the new home of Scottish Ballet and includes interviews (in French) with some of the dancers and admin staff.
