Paul Fournel will appear at the Alliance Française on November 10 and will discuss his latest collection of short stories. In Courbatures (literally "stiff muscles"), Fournel describes the "day after". Whether it is a small victory, mainly due to circumstances, or a huge public success, Fournel’s characters all enjoy their moment in the spotlight. But soon, the lights go off and bruises start appearing. Paul Fournel is the president of the literary movement Oulipo and has published children’s books, short stories and novels. He is currently based in London where he works as the French book attaché at the French Embassy. The presentation will take place at the Alliance Française de Glasgow on Tuesday 10th November, 6pm. Courbatures by Paul Fournel is available from the Alliance Française library. Tuesday 10 November 2009 18:00-19:30
