¨Honni soit qui mal y pense¨, a présentation by Henriette Walter.

It is estimated that 200 million people on five continents speak French. More than just a language, it is often argued that French speakers share common values. These gave birth to the International Organization,"La Francophonie", the “French Commonwealth,” which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2010. On this occasion, Henriette Walter, distinguished professor of linguistics and a member of the prestigious conseil supérieur de la langue française, will make a presentation entitled “Honni soit qui mal y pense,” exploring the interactions between English and French. Henriette Walter has published several books on "the adventures of Languages." She will be joined by Professor John Campbell of the University of Glasgow and both will tell you the incredible love story between French and English.
