Meet the authors : Cyril Lieron & Benoit Dahan

Join French authors Cyril Liéron and Benoit Dahan for an engaging Q&A session! They will reflect on their careers, creative processes and draw in real time. Benoit's love for Sherlock Holmes, shared with his longtime friend Cyril Liéron, naturally led to their collaboration on Dans la tête de Sherlock Holmes, which won the BDGEST'Arts 2019 award for Best Cover Art.
This event is organised in partnership with La Belle Adventure, an Edinburgh-based bookshop specialising in French and European comics. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase books during the event. Refreshments, including drinks and snacks, will be provided.

About the Guests:
- Over her 20-year career, Anabelle Araujo has explored various roles in the world of comics, also known as the 9th Art. These roles include festival organiser, certified educational animator, specialised bookseller, artist agent, and business leader. Anabelle has cultivated an extensive network over the years, earning recognition and appreciation from numerous authors and professionals in the industry.

- Cyril Liéron has been working as a colorist since 1995. He has contributed to various well-known comics, including Percevan, L'Arcantane Noire, Le Maître des Étoiles, Barbe Rouge (Dargaud), Red Label Voodoo (Soleil), Cotton Kid, Coyote Noir (collective) (Vents d’Ouest), Le Bras de Fer, La Maison Piège (Dupuis), and Alan (1, 2, 3, and 4) (Jos le Douaré). Dans la tête de Sherlock Holmes (Inside the Head of Sherlock Holmes), published by Ankama, marks Cyril's debut as a comic scriptwriter.
- Benoit Dahan is a scriptwriter, illustrator, and colorist living in Paris. After studying Graphic Arts at ESAG, he began his career in press illustration, contributing to Le Monde, Libération, Le Point, Science et Vie Junior, and more. He has also illustrated children's books. Psycho-Investigateur is his first comic book series, created in collaboration with his friend Erwan Courbier.
