Le Printemps des Poètes (Spring of
Poets) is an annual French event celebrating poetry, typically held every March. It was launched in 1999 by
Andrée Chedid and Jean-Pierre Siméon with the goal of promoting poetry, making it more accessible, and
celebrating it in all its forms. Le Printemps des Poètes aims to revitalize poetry in cultural life, making it dynamic and
contemporary, and encourages the sharing and discovery of this literary genre. Schools, libraries, associations, and cultural institutions
actively participate in the event across France and in other countries.
