We're excited to invite you to a presentation and a virtual tour of one of the most beautiful monuments in France: La Sainte Chapelle, a masterpiece in gothic style located in the medieval Palais de la Cité in Paris! As a French storyteller, tour guide, comedian and illustrator, Eleonore loves bringing history to life. She will give you a better understanding of why this gem in the centre of Paris came into being, and why the people of the 13th century were inspired to achieve the creation of La Sainte-Chapelle. Put your earphones and be ready to plunge into History!
Wednesday 12th May, 6pm. This event will take place on Zoom (details of the meeting will be sent to you by email before the event)
This talk will be held in French
This event is free for all, but we would appreciate a suggested small donation of £3-£5 per family to support the Alliance Française Glasgow and its activities (see information below). SUPPORT THE AFG. We would like to reiterate our sincere gratitude for your loyalty to the Alliance Française Glasgow and to thank you for your understanding of the impact the Covid-19 crisis has had on us and our activities. The Alliance Française Glasgow is a local charity, therefore 95% of its income is generated by your subscription to all its activities. Like all other institutions and individuals alike, we are going to suffer greatly from this crisis and we certainly hope all our students, members and guests will be in a position to continue to attend their lessons as well as take part in our cultural activities, and thus support the Alliance Française Glasgow‘s staff during this difficult period. We are organising this event for free, but in order to support the AFG, you can donate here. Merci!
