Café Littéraire - March "Spécial Poésie" with the Poet Anna Ayanoglou
Date: 27 Mar 2024, 2:00pm - 3:30pm GMT London, Lisbon
The Alliance Française Glasgow is delighted to host the poet and former French teacher Anna Ayanoglou for a Café Littéraire spécial Poésie to discuss French poésie in a relaxed and francophone environment, for the Printemps des Poètes 2024.
Our Café Littéraire spécial Poésie will take place on-site at our premises (G10 room) on Wednesday 27th of March.
The book selected in March is Appartenir, de Anna Ayanoglou
Anna Ayanoglou is a French poet born in 1985 who lives in Brussels. For many years she taught French as a foreign language - with joy and fantasy - in Lithuania, Estonia and Belgium. Her third collection, Appartenir, is like a novel. Anna tells the story of herself and her family, from her travels in Greece (her father's country) to her life in Paris, from her torments as a young student to her trials as an adult. Appartenir is both a story of learning and a sometimes brutal, often tender, exploration of human relationships.
Anna Ayanoglou is one of the leading voices in contemporary poetry. Her previous collections have won prestigious prizes.
