In the 17^th-century, the Brothers Le Nain were among the first French artists to paint images of poverty. Two centuries later, Paul Cézanne revolutionized art by developing an entirely new technique based on the way he wanted to see the world. During these two centuries, artists developed incredible skills to represent ‘what is real’, from delicate still-lives, to social commentaries and outdoor landscapes. Featuring works by artists such as Chardin, Courbet, Boudin or Sisley, this tour will focus on presenting on evolution of ‘reality’ in French art from the 17^th to the 19^th century.
