Who We Are

Established in 1982, the Alliance Française Glasgow is part of a world-wide network and is one of eleven AF currently located in the United Kingdom.

Run by a Board of Directors, we are located in Glasgow’s Park Circus. Since 2004, we have shared a roof with the Goethe-Institut — a world first.

As a local not-for-profit organisation, we hope to share a love of  French language and culture, as well as other various aspects of the French way of life

What We Do

Our teachers are all native French speakers who are qualified to teach French as a foreign language.

We offer regular courses for adults and children of all levels and ages, private tuition to suit your needs, tailor-made courses to schools, companies and businesses as well as online courses.

We are also an official examination centre for personal or professional French exams such as the Test d’Evaluation du Français (TEF) or the Diplôme d’Etudes/Approfondi en Langue Française (DELF/DALF).

Get Involved

Our teaching activities are complemented by a wide range of cultural and social events such as Rendez-Vous, Ciné-Club, wine tastings, exhibitions, and more

Our multimedia library also offers a wide selection of items in French (DVDs, books, CDs) as well as learning materials for all levels. It is open to all for a small annual fee.
